WATERCOOLER CHAT: OLYMPIC UPDATES!
NBC is on a record pace and could go down as having the most viewed Olympics in history! Is it the dynamic coverage or is it the Michael Phelps updates? For my Kids, it's all about Michael Phelps (and, of course, the fact that they get to stay up extra late to watch all the highlights). With 3 down and 5 to go, Phelps just keeps astounding us. Phelps won the 200m freestyle (setting another world record of course) giving him his 3rd gold of 2008. He now has a total of 9 Olympic golds (tying 5 others).
Aaron Peirsol won the Men's 100m backstroke in world record time.
Natalie Coughlin won the 100m backstroke and became the first woman to repeat as champion of this event.
Against all odds, the Mens' Gymnastics team won the Bronze medal without their injured superstars Paul and Morgan Hamm. The Chinese team won the Gold.
Football Updates:
Eli Manning will be on the cover of the September issue of Men's Vogue with the breaking news.....his favorite pre-game meal is Spaghetti, Oreos and Gatorade.
In his pre-season debut, Favre replacement (which is what we'll be calling him for awhile) Aaron Rodgers, looked good in the pre-season loss vs the Cincinnati Bengals.
